The new Modula GS, whose main benefits are high-speed and compactness, works hand in hand with a 6-cavities mold by Glaroform and a Demag IMM to take out and deposit flowerpots on a conveyor belt.
Solid floor stands, ultra-light moving parts and powerful servomotors outline the construction philosophy of its mechanics, designed to provide maximum productivity and low footprint on the ground. Ideal for IMMs up to 300 tons and multi-cavity single face molds, it boasts a minimum dry cycle of 1.6 seconds and an interlock time lower than 0.4 seconds.
Its servo electric tilting axis ensures maximum precision and performance when transferring the flowerpots to the stacking unit with their openings facing upwards. The suction cups are featured with special sponges in order for the cups to better adhere to the irregular surface.
The telescopic beam makes the transversal Z-axis ultralight and its proximity to the IMM translates into faster cycle time and compact design as well as reduced Z-axis travel footprint. As a result, not only are the linear guides practically halved, but the machine’s mechanical noise and energy consumption are drastically reduced, also thanks to the KERS technology that allows for energy recovery. Being made of carbon fiber, the transversal axis is also faster, ultralight and vibrations-free.
The vacuum pump system brings so many benefits, among which a quicker set-up, energy saving, sliding sturdy base, maximum stability and adaptability to fit different molds.
